Natalia recently received a BS in Human Physiology from the University of Iowa. She first became interested in cancer cachexia by being a member of Dr. Erin Talbert’s lab during her undergraduate studies. Through her academic courses and involvement in research, she also became interested in skeletal muscle physiology, metabolism, and cancer biology. She joined the Bonetto Lab in June 2023 as a PRA to continue learning about cancer cachexia while gaining additional research experience. In the future, she plans on applying to graduate school and hopes to continue working in cancer/cachexia research.
